Research area
Fiona Kauer is a doctoral candidate in the SPUR research group. She holds a master's degree in Comparative and International Studies from the ETH Center for Comparative and International Studies. Her research interests center around the impacts of city transformations and redevelopment on the social sustainability in urban areas. Fiona aims to understand the impacts of urban development on displacement, segregation, and gentrification.
Fiona obtained her bachelor's degree in Political Science and Social Anthropology from the University of Basel, where she was a teaching assistant for the course introduction into qualitative research methods. During her master's program in Comparative and International Studies, she completed an exchange semester at the Graduate Institute in Geneva, gaining insights into international relations and global governance dynamics.
