Malte is a Doctoral Student at the Spatial Development and Urban Policy Research group, ETH Zürich. As part of the SNF-funded research project “Densifying Switzerland” Malte investigates the public acceptance of dense urban housing production in Swiss cities and towns as well as the political behaviour and opinion formation processes at the individual level from the implementation of densification in Switzerland. 

Malte holds a M.A. in Political Science from Potsdam University and a B.A. in Political Science and Sociology from Kiel University. During his studies, Malte spent a semester at Sciences Po Bordeaux. Prior to joining ETH, Malte gathered experience in the private sector as a data analyst and in the non-profit sector as research assistant.
