Dr. Dasha Kuletskaya joins the SPUR team

Dr. Dasha Kuletskaya will join SPUR as a Visiting Postdoctoral Fellow from May 2025 to April 2027 to work on an interdisciplinary research project “The Power of Fiction: Unravelling the Social Construction of the Economic Value of Real Estate,” funded by the IDEA League and DAAD Prime Fellowships.

Dasha Kuletskaya is an architect and teaching and research associate at the external page Department Bauplan at the Faculty of Architecture, RWTH Aachen University. Her research is situated at the intersection of architectural history and theory, planning theory, and economic sociology. She obtained her PhD with distinction in 2023 from RWTH Aachen University (Germany) with an analysis of how commodification and financialization of land and housing have been unfolding in Minsk and Warsaw since 1989. She has held visiting fellowships at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies (Economic Sociology Group), TU Delft (Building Ideologies Group), and ETH Zürich (Institute for the History and Theory of Architecture, gta). She is a recipient of 2024 Friedrich-Wilhelm Award, 2023 Best Paper by an Early Career Scholar Award from European Architectural History Network, and 2023 Princeton | Places Urban Imagination Prize.
